SCOPE & WHAT’S INCLUDED
Does $199 include migrating my database?
Yes. The $199 migration includes both the codebase and the database. We confirm how your data will move and where it’s going before we start work.
What exactly do I receive at handoff?
Your source code in a repository you control, your database in the approved destination, the app deployed to your chosen host with its agreed core workflows verified, and the source and deployment information for your customer-controlled setup. See how it works for the full list.
What isn’t included in the $199 migration?
Advanced authentication, complex integrations, unsupported exports, extensive data restructuring and native mobile migrations are assessed separately. Hosting, domain and third-party usage fees are paid directly to those providers, unless you choose AppExit Managed Hosting. See the scope breakdown.
Will my app look and work the same after the move?
The goal of a migration is to move your existing app, not redesign it. We agree the core workflows to verify before we start and check them on the new host before handoff. Anything that depends on a builder-only service is identified up front.
PRICING & PAYMENT
Which apps are $199?
Small web apps built on Base44. When you connect your app, we scan it and tell you straight away whether it qualifies. Larger apps get a personal quote within 1 business day. Other builders are coming soon.
What if my app needs more than the basic scope?
We’ll tell you before we start work. You can approve a quote for the extra work or get a full refund.
When do I pay?
At the end of your order. Small Base44 apps pay by card on our site, secured by Square. If your app needs a personal quote, nothing is charged until you’ve seen the price; you then pay on our site through the link in your quote. AppExit Managed Hosting is billed monthly from when your app goes live.
Is there a subscription?
No. Migrations are one-time services with no migration subscription. Your ongoing costs are your hosting, domain and any third-party services, paid directly to those providers. If we host your app, your hosting is a monthly AppExit Managed Hosting plan instead.
Who pays for hosting?
That depends on where you host. With Vercel + Supabase, Railway, your own VPS or another provider, you pay that provider directly, under an account in your name; we don’t resell or mark up their hosting. With AppExit Managed Hosting, you pay us a monthly plan (Starter $39, Business $79, Pro $149, or a custom Enterprise price), starting when your app goes live. Can you migrate from Base44, Lovable, Bolt, or other builders?
We’re launching with Base44: connect your app to get your price. Lovable, Bolt.new, Replit, Emergent, Bubble and Glide are coming soon. Contact us and we’ll let you know when your platform opens. See supported platforms.
Can I choose any hosting provider?
Yes. When you order, you choose AppExit Managed Hosting, Vercel + Supabase, Railway, your own VPS, or another provider such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud. We confirm that your choice supports the migrated app’s runtime, database and operational requirements. If it does not, we’ll explain suitable alternatives before work begins.
I don’t know which host to pick. Can you help?
Yes. If you’d rather not manage hosting at all, choose AppExit Managed Hosting and we’ll run it for you. Otherwise pick the option closest to what you want, or contact us, and we’ll suggest compatible options based on your app’s runtime, database and budget.
Are AI app builders unsafe for business use?
No single conclusion applies to every app or provider. Builders can be suitable for production, but businesses should independently test backups, access controls, deployments, incident response and the ability to migrate. See our source-linked reliability report.
AI BUILDER & MOBILE
Will I still be able to edit my app with AI?
Yes, through our optional AI Builder Workspace setup. We install an AI-assisted editing and development environment in compatible infrastructure you control. It offers a builder-style workflow, but it is not a copy of Base44 or Lovable’s proprietary editor. It’s an optional $149 add-on you can choose when you order.
Why do I need an OpenRouter account for the AI builder?
Our optional builder workspace uses models accessed through your own OpenRouter account. You manage the account and model usage charges directly. OpenRouter and any required hosting or infrastructure costs are separate from our $149 setup fee.
Can you migrate my iOS or Android app?
Yes, full mobile app migration is available as a custom project. Pricing typically ranges from $1,500 to $5,000 or more, depending on app complexity, native features, backend dependencies, and release requirements. We provide a project-specific quote.
SECURITY & ACCESS
Do I need to share passwords or production data in the form?
No. Please do not submit passwords, tokens, API keys, or customer data. If authorized access is needed, we’ll arrange a secure, least-privilege method separately.
Who owns the accounts after the migration?
You do. The repository, database, hosting and domain accounts are set up in your name, and you can remove any access we were given once the handoff is complete.
Can I request a migration for someone else’s app?
Only if you’re authorized to. The order form asks you to confirm that you own the app or are authorized to request its migration.
